A few days ago, some overseas netizens uploaded photos of the box of Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, and the promotional text “with easy access to the Google apps you use most” (easy access to your most-used Google apps) caused controversy.

“Satisfaction” because since the end of May 2019, the new Huawei and Honor phones cannot integrate the Google GMS service. After the event fermented, Xiaomi officially responded to this.

The official account of Xiaomi ’s spokesperson issued an announcement, saying:

  • This copy comes from the promotion requirements of the partners in the latest cooperation agreement. It is similar to the “Powered by Android” and “Intel Inside” on the computer.
  • The previous version of the agreement between Xiaomi and its partners has expired, and Xiaomi has become the first batch of contracted manufacturers of the new version of the cooperation agreement.
  • We hope that global mobile phone manufacturers can cooperate smoothly with all partners to jointly create a richer operating system.

The partner (Google) launched a new promotional strategy that requires the partner, mobile phone manufacturer, to add this copy to the packaging of models in overseas markets, which has nothing to do with Xiaomi’s subjective will.

Vivo iQOO product manager Golan V also forwarded Xiaomi’s response, confirming that Android mobile phone manufacturers have received this new cooperation agreement, which means that in the future, mobile phone manufacturers using this copywriting are not only Xiaomi.

Even if the overseas version of Huawei’s mobile phones cannot currently be equipped with the full version of Android the Android open-source system is still used.

The latest flagship P40 series will be “Powered by Android” when it is turned on, which is a mandatory provision of the cooperation agreement.

Google launched a new promotional copy, intended to block Huawei HMS services. At present, Huawei HMS Core 4.0 has been launched, the overseas versions of the P40 series, Mate 30 series, and Honor V30 series have been installed, and Huawei is also vigorously developing its operating system.

Huawei has repeatedly stated that it still hopes to continue using the Android operating system. Google is also actively lobbying the US government to lift Huawei ’s Android ban, but it has little effect at present.
