With the help of an earlier release cycle, interesting renderings and the company’s new development direction OnePlus is changing the status quo with the release of the OnePlus 9 series. The latest rumors point out that the third device will appear with OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro in the form of OnePlus 9E.
According to the reliable promoter and leaker Max Jambor AKA @MaxJmb, there will be a third device entering the OnePlus lineup by early 2021. Temporarily called “OnePlus 9E”, nothing is known about this device except that this device may be an entry-level device in the OnePlus 9 series.

On his “voice” page, Max speculated that the OnePlus 9E was a response to Samsung, which is a company owned by BBK “providing equipment in any possible price range.” Given that we have seen OnePlus launch its Nord series for the first time in the budget market in 2020, it is unclear how the 9E will distinguish it from the 9, 9 Pro, and Nord series, making it an ideal choice for potential buyers.
Max also suggested that, like the Nord series, the OnePlus 9E may omit some features and hardware to help reduce costs:
The OnePlus Nord N series is an entry-level model, and the Nord is a mid-range device with a very reasonable price. The regular phones of the main series are high-end devices, but the price is not too expensive. The Pro series has absolute high-end specifications such as wireless charging or IP68 functions.
Of course, so far, OnePlus’ Oppo-ification is quite obvious. Due to the recent re-communication around the OnePlus Nord N100 device with a 90Hz panel, the OnePlus 9E will now indicate a more “mainstream” approach for the company.
