The company’s founder Carl Pei announced today that Nothing will launch their first pair of true wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear (1), at 9AM ET on July 27.
Carl Pei, a co-founder of OnePlus who parted ways with the company last year, tweeted the company was delaying the launch due to “a few things left to finalize.” This is a month later than the June launch window that had been previously announced.
There will be a wireless earbuds debut on July 27 through Nothing
The company has been teasing several details about the Nothing Ear (1) during the past few months, but details are scarce.
These are going to have a “stripped-down aesthetic” incorporating transparent materials, as well as having been designed by Teenage Engineering. The tech specs for the earbuds have not been disclosed by Nothing.
Nothing will start with wireless earbuds, but Carl Pei says the company will move into more categories in the future.
Pei said the company intends to create a whole ecosystem of connected devices. According to Pei, “having everything connected in a seamless way will only be possible with multiple product categories.”.
