Good news for Redmi Buffs – Xiaomi has made the Redmi 10X series, which includes the Redmi 10X5G and Redmi 10X Pro5G official. Discovered in China, the two models are dual-mode and feature dual SIM 5G connectivity.
According to Redmi, these are the first smartphones to support a dual 5G standby, which is possible with the MediaTek Dimension 820 SoC under the hood. Support for 5G + 5G Dual SIM enables users to switch between cards in a specific location or setting with an enhanced 5G network.
In addition to the Redmi 10X series phones, the company has also released the Redmi 10X4G phone, which is believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 and is now available in China.
The Redmi 10X and 10X Pro have a 6.57-inch AMOLED FHD + resolution display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The display has 800-night brightness, 60 Hertz refresh rate, and 180 Hertz response rate. Both phones come in Blue, Pink, Gold, and White color options.
The phone runs MIUI 12 out of the box based on Android 10 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimension 820 processor as well as the Mali-G57 MC5 GPU.
It supports triple camera setup on the rear with a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 5x macro camera. On the front, it gets a waterfall-style line with a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The Redmi 10X has a 4,520 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging and 256GB of internal storage with 8GB of RAM. It has an in-display fingerprint scanner and the phone receives NFC, Bluetooth v5.1, USB Type-C port for connectivity, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Retail will start in China starting June 1 and will start at CNY 1,599 ($ 225) for the Redmi 10X5G6GB RAM + 64GB storage (which is still an affordable 5G smartphone).
The top line of the 8GB + 256GB model will sell for CNY 2,399 ($ 335). The 6GB / 128GB and 8GB / 12GB variants are also priced between $ 250 and $ 300 respectively.
The Pro variant also gets the MIUI 12 based on Android 10, which shares the same processor and packs the same 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. Redmi 10 X Pro takes a little detour from her brother in the optics department.
The phone’s quad-camera module includes a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP telecom with a 3X optical, 5X hybrid and 30X digital zoom, and another 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 5MP macro camera.
It is brewed by a similar 4,520 mAh battery (10X), but with 33W fast charging. Connectivity Features and Fingerprint Sensor Details Unchanged from the Redmi 10X, the Waterdrop Notch 10X Pro features a 20-megapixel camera on the front.
The Redmi 10X Pro will start retailing from June 6 – running on the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model CNY 2,229 ($ 320) and the 8GB RAM + 256GB variant CNY 2,599 ($ 365).
