PlayStation 5 is priced at $499 and will be released on November 12
The price of the upcoming PlayStation 5 was announced on Wednesday, September 16, starting at $499. The digital version is priced at $399. The console will be launched in selected countries/regions on November 12, 2020, and globally on November 19, 2020.
The countries/regions in the console launched on November 12 include the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea.
According to Playstation’s Twitter account, pre-orders will be available in “selected retailers” starting tomorrow. The retailer has not disclosed it.
As previously reported, even if the company revealed that it would double its unit output this year to around 10 million units, the pre-order of Playstation 5 is limited to one per family.
Sony opened pre-orders for pre-order players at the end of August. Sony sends out invitations to players based on their “previous interests and PlayStation activities.”
