Microsoft promises to fix the Xbox Series X controller disconnected in a future update

Xbox Series X feels like a huge upgrade for Xbox gaming PCs, but a small percentage of buyers have also experienced unusual downgrades-the new Xbox Series X gamepad seems to be unable to maintain the connection to the console in some games. In some cases, according to the topic on page 40 in the Microsoft Help Forum.

Good news: Microsoft is aware of this problem and is fixing it. A company spokesperson said: “We know that some players may experience disconnections when using the new Xbox wireless controller, and our team is actively working on a solution to include it in future updates.”

Again, it is not yet clear how true this issue is, although the nearly 1,700 co-signers on a 40-page forum post are enough to show that this is indeed a problem, which is among the millions of units these consoles have estimated.

Only a small part is sold at launch. Some people who reported the problem said that it only happens in certain games, such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you will learn about this by reading forums or Reddit topics.

Even the few video clips we have seen about the problem do not necessarily show the same problem: one of them is a controller, which does not seem to be synchronized with the console at all, and the other is paired but did not successfully send input.

Either way, it sounds like Microsoft will sort it out. Also, if you disconnect the controller via Bluetooth (not the Xbox console) on a Windows PC, there may already be a solution. You can download Windows updates.

This is the company’s complete statement:

At Microsoft, we conduct rigorous quality assurance tests on all products and are committed to providing customers with an unparalleled gaming experience. We know that some players may experience disconnection from their new Xbox Xbox wireless controller, and our team is actively working on a solution that will be included in a future update. For the best experience, we encourage customers to follow the steps posted here or visit https://support.xbox.com to get the latest controller firmware.
