“Microsoft Flight Simulator” will be updated with Japan as the center next week
- Tokyo Tower now looks like Tokyo Tower.
Microsoft today announced a major free update to the Microsoft Flight Simulator at the Tokyo Game Show. Appropriately, this update adds a lot to the experience of flying in Japan.
3D photogrammetry is improving six cities including Tokyo, more and more handmade Japanese airports are under construction, and 20 landmarks across the country will be added with high resolution.
Sendai, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Tokyo, Utsunomiya, and Yokohama will be the first Japanese cities to receive comprehensive 3D photography treatments. Although virtually every airport in Japan has participated in it, there are very few handmade airports.
Nagasaki may be the largest airport among the newly added airports, with Hachijo Island, Kerama, Ku Road, Shimoshima Island, and Su no Island also joining them.
Landmarks include Mount Fuji, Himeji Castle, Horou Temple, and Hashima. It is expected that more information about this update will be released before September 29th.
