Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand announced on Friday that they will donate $100 million to “organizations committed to ensuring racial equality, social justice, and more educational opportunities” over the next ten years.

Craig Williams, President of Jordan Brand, said: “In addition to Nike’s investment, we also announced the joint commitment of Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand to donate $100 million in the next 10 years “We must work together with the community, government, and civic leaders to create lasting impact. We still have a lot of work to do to bring real impact to the black community. We take responsibility.”

Jordan Brand is us, the black community. Jordan Brand has more than one person. Has always been a family. We represent a proud family that overcomes obstacles, fights discrimination in communities around the world, and strives every day to eliminate the stains and injustice of racism.

The will, work, and excellence that the world already knows are the fruits of generation after generation, and their dreams are injected into the next generation.

Black life is important. This is not a controversial statement. Until we thoroughly eradicate the entrenched racism that allowed our national institutions to go bankrupt, we will continue to work to protect and improve the lives of black people.

Today, we announced that Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand will donate $100 million over the next 10 years to organizations committed to ensuring racial equality, social justice, and more opportunities for education.
