Black Panther made his E3 debut today in Square Enix’s Square Enix E3 Showcase, joining the Avengers roster in an expansion called War for Wakanda.
The King of Wakanda himself is introduced in the latest cinematic trailer – although his face is not revealed until he wears his Black Panther mask.
As King of Wakanda, he will protect Wakanda from Klaw, who has invaded Wakanda with the intention of stealing Vibranium for his own plans.
According to the trailer page, War For Wakanda will be released in August. Marvel‘s Avengers + Black Panther will be available for free to existing Marvel’s Avengers owners on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X users.
In the Marvel film, Chadwick Boseman played the superhero; the expansion was planned to be released earlier but had been delayed due to his tragic death.
As well as an announcement today about the Guardians of the Galaxy game, Square Enix also announced that Eidos Montreal will be making a Marvel title.
