Click the gear icon. It is in the upper right corner area of Zoom.
Click Audio in the menu. You will see this in the menu on the left side of the window.
Check the box next to “Press and hold the space bar to temporarily unmute.” With this option selected, you can press and hold the space bar when you want to speak to unmute the microphone. After releasing your finger, the microphone will be muted again.
Join or start a Zoom meeting. Now that you have enabled the “Push to Talk” function, it is time to start watching it. If your microphone is not muted, click the microphone icon in the lower-left corner to mute it immediately.
Hold down the space bar while speaking. When you press the push-to-talk button, you will see a large microphone icon on the screen, indicating that your microphone is activated.
If the conference administrator prevents the participant from unmuting, you will not be able to use push-to-talk. When you release the space bar, you will be muted again.
Now, Zoom has become the preferred video communication platform for the federal government, technology start-ups, religious groups, and of course ordinary people who want to chat with friends and family and even get together.
What is zoom?
Zoom is a cloud-based video communication application that allows you to set up virtual video and audio conferences, webinars, real-time chats, screen sharing, and other collaboration functions.
You don’t need an account to participate in Zoom meetings, and the platform is compatible with Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android, which means that almost anyone can access it.
Of course, video conferencing applications are not new. Zoom is just one of many communication tools, including Skype, Cisco Webex, and Google Meet. For example, here is Zoom and Google Meet, which is a comparison of Google’s enterprise video conferencing platform.
How to Download zoom?
After confirming the plan, you can easily download the plan whether it is on your computer or on your mobile device. The platform is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices through the App Store and Google Play Store respectively. I
f you plan to use a computer, you need to go to Zoom’s official website to download it. Depending on the type of computer you are using, this process will be slightly different:
You do not need an account to join a Zoom meeting, but if you plan to host, schedule, and manage your own calls, you must register for an account.
If you plan to use the platform frequently (whether for business or leisure travel), it is recommended that you download the application first, and then register for a Zoom account.
You may have heard of “Zoombombing” before. This is someone who gains access to Zoom calls without being invited and tries to cause serious damage. Earlier this year, there were many Zoombombing cases that were widely reported, which led the company to crack down on these cases.
