Gmail has introduced a very special feature keeping in mind the convenience of its users, with the help of this, there will be no need to download the attachment file coming in the mail to be forwarded.

Now users will be able to easily forward the attached file without downloading it. Whereas until now, any attachment file had to be downloaded before forwarding it to other mail IDs. The company has given information about the new feature to the users through its official block.

While informing about the new feature on its blog page, the company has clarified that now users will not need to download the attachment file received through e-mail to be forwarded.

The company has written in the blog that ‘We have heard from our users that it is very difficult to download and forward the attached file found in the e-mail. But now this will not happen and the company is giving its users the facility to forward incoming files in an e-mail without downloading them.

The company has also put a demo video of this on the blog, with the help of this, users will be able to easily understand how to use the feature. However, this feature has not been introduced yet and the company will soon rollout it to users.


At the start of this service in Gmail, you will start to see a new ‘Forward Edge Attachment’ option in the three-dot menu. When sending a new email, users only have to click on the attach button.

In addition, the company has also released a protection feature for Google Chrome keeping in mind its users’ security. This feature will give users real-time alerts of the browser affected by the malware.
