Endwalker, the fourth expansion pack of Final Fantasy XIV Online, will be released on 23rd November. Square Enix announced the release date at the 2021 Digital Fan Festival, and director Naoki Yoshida also said that the extended version is now available for pre-order.
For the first time, the gaming giant revealed that Endwalker would be unveiled at the PS5 Beta gaming event in February this fall. Now, we finally have the exact release date. A complete movie trailer, which includes the new theme song composed by Massayoshi Soken (FFXIV’s leading composer), debuted at the festival Square Enix.
Square Enix also revealed the second job, the first job previously announced, namely Sage, which will be launched with Endwalker at the event. The “Repear” wielding a sickle can cause damage by melee attacks and summoning avatars in melee combat.
In addition, the company announced that it would add male Viera as a new playable game and give fans a glimpse of all the other new content they can expect. There are many new cities, regions, and towns worth exploring. There are new tribes to meet and new threats to overcome.
Endwalker can now be pre-ordered from Square Enix’s website, PlayStation Store and Steam. The price of the standard version is US$40, while the digital version of the digital collector’s version, minions, and weapons are US$60.
Players who pre-order the extension will get early access, tentatively scheduled for 19th November. Finally, the Square Enix store will exclusively provide collectors’ boxes with physical goods, including artwork, paladin statues, plush, and pins, and buyers will spend $140 or more.
