All of us encounter language barriers in our conversations, making communication difficult. Cisco hopes to make this problem a thing of the past, at least in terms of video conferencing.
The company is introducing new real-time translation capabilities to its Webex conferencing software. In short, this feature allows you to translate English into more than 100 languages. In this latest version, you will find everything from Armenian to Zulu.
Cisco has the real-time translation function in Webex. When not everyone in the meeting speaks the same language, companies can avoid using third-party services and pay for them.
Besides, this shows that this feature will allow companies to hire the best talent without worrying about any language barriers. Maybe this is wishful thinking, but you must imagine that Webex users will also appreciate the content.
While competitive platforms introduce subtitles to improve accessibility, Webex can perform real-time translation. Since January, Google Meet users have been able to use Otter’s AI-powered transcription tool to add subtitles to meetings.
Webex users can start testing the new real-time translation of the application this month, and it is planned to be officially listed in May.
