The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 pro has mostly the same looks as the Redmi Note 5 but the larger screen makes a big difference the back is made of metal surrounded by plastic. The phone comes with plastic frame but however it is quite thin. It makes the phone easier to handle and just keep in mind that it isn’t waterproof which is no surprise at this price point.

The biggest change of Redmi Note 6 pro’s is its hull screen improvement over the Redmi Note 5s display and smaller resulting in a much higher screen to body ratio. The screen is 6.3 inches with IPS LCD and 1080p resolution with a pixel density of 403 PPI. The gadget looks sharp and blacks are deep so you get a nice contrast.

You can even up to hide it if you don’t like brightness is very good on this display up to 480 nits at maximum and the minimum brightness is excellent which will save your eyes very well. If you’re using this phone in the dark unfortunately the Redmi Note 6 pro had only an average score for an LCD and our sunlight legibility test.

It’s usable outdoors but image quality suffers noticeably. There are different color modes available. We are so glad to see on this phone is a notification LED just to the left of the earpiece. It’s white only though no customize-able colors for different apps.

The Phone storage is expandable on top of the 32 or 64 gigabytes built-in. You do have to choose between a memory card in a second sim though, so it is a bit disappointed with the connectivity on the Note 6 pro.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 pro has a good old audio jack sound through headphones is decent not the cleanest but good for this price range. You can listen to FM radio also listen to content using the single bottom firing speaker. The Note 6 pro has biometric security by using finger-print scanner on the back. It’s always on accurate and super fast. The phone can also unlock from face setting which is very quick since it uses the selfie camera instead of an infrared setup for the phone keep in mind that the face unlock option is only available in specific regions for this device.

You’ll have to select one of these in settings to be able to use it the Redmi Note 6 pro just like the Redmi Note 5 runs on a snapdragon 6:36 chip-set coupled with 3, 4 or 6 Gigs of RAM in benchmarks. The charts in this price range have enough punch to be productive and the games run without a hitch and it is pretty powerful.

Redmi Note 6 pro is powered by a large 4000 million power battery the same is on the Note 5. Dual camera phone as expected battery life is stellar earning the same 92 hours endurance rating in proprietary tests screen. The phone is better standby performance charging with the bundled 10 watts charger got us from 0 to about 28% charge in 30 minutes not exactly fast.

There is an option to use gesture-based navigation swiping up from the bottom acts a home button. If you stop the sweat Midway the task switcher and swiping from the left or right sides of the screen access back. This phone offers a proprietary gallery, music and video player.

The phone also can use for universal remote control thanks to the IR blaster on top of the phone. The Note 6 pro camera setup of is a 12 megapixel F 1.9 in main cam along with a 5 megapixel depth sensor and a dual LED flash the same as on the Note 5.

There’s no OIS but you do get dual-pixel autofocus here. The toggle is now right on the viewfinder an improvement over previous Xiaomi phones. The phone able recognize scenes accurately. We didn’t notice any real difference between the AI shots and the regular photos in auto mode. In auto mode the photos snapped in daylight are good there’s more than enough detail realistic colors. Very good contrast and little noise the dynamic range is average but what you’d expect from a camera without image stacking the images come out a little soft.

Overall we have like what we get with the Note 6 of the camera if you opt for HDR is well balanced and doesn’t over process. It helps to counter the limited dynamic range to some extent and recovers detail and highlight areas. Low-light photos aren’t too bad in fact they’re better than what you’d expect to get from a budget device.

The Redmi Note 6 pro has the edge detection has been improved since the Note 5 the blur applied is a bit too strong. There are another biggest features attached is dual-camera on the Redmi Note 6 pro on the front. The main camera is 20 megapixels with an F 2.0 aperture accompanied by a 2 Megapixel depth sensor.

Another big thing for this phone is colors and contrast are very good with 2 Megapixel depth sensor does help for better subject separation and selfie portrait shots.

Recent Redmi phones can also capture up to 1080p at 30fps. The quality is good there’s plenty of detail true to life colors good sharpness and above-average dynamic range video stabilization is turned on by default but if you want you can opt out of it from settings. You can actually shot and recording 4k video on the Redmi Note 6 pro by using a third-party app.

The Redmi Note 6 pro brings an edge-to-edge screen with nice contrast great battery life a solid processor and a pretty good camera specs wise the no 6 pro doesn’t stand out that much from the pack. It has an outdated micro USB port and you have to do some extra legwork to get face unlock or 4k video recording.
